What are the disposal methods for disposable syringes?
Disposable syringes can be divided into three types: severe pollution, general pollution and basically no pollution according to their uses. For single-use syringes with different levels of contamination, its disposal methods are also different.
1. Severely polluted single-use syringes: those that are in direct contact with the patient's body fluids, such as used syringes for blood, pleural effusion, ascites, etc., because the patient's body fluids are a potential source of infection.
2. Generally polluted disposable syringes: that is, only the needle part is the syringe that is in contact with the patient, such as conventional injection and infusion, and some syringes that are usually used for hanging anti-inflammatory water.
3. Basic non-polluting disposable syringes: Non-polluting disposable syringes that are not in direct contact with patients are basically non-polluting disposable syringes, such as syringes used when adding medicine. Of course, improper operation and contamination must be ruled out. This is the classification of single-use syringes. If they are to be disposed of, they must be disposed of according to such a classification method. Different pollution levels require different disposal methods.
