Advantages of Hot and Semi-Hot Runner Moulds?
The semi-hot runner mould process uses two heated plates to send melt-filled rubber to nozzles that feed part cavities. The process is more efficient and can improve machine efficiency.

The hot runner mold has advantages over the cold runner mould in terms of automation. In addition to eliminating gate trimming and recycling cold sprue, the hot runner mold facilitates automation and improves product quality. A hot runner mould can be more expensive than a cold runner mould, but the returns are more than offset by lower raw material costs. It is usually preferred for small to medium-sized products.
