Knowledge introduction of Runner Mold!
A runner mould is a moulding tool that allows you to produce plastic products without gate cutting. This mold saves raw materials and reduces your product cost. When using an ordinary pouring system, the material that is handled will often exceed the weight of the final product. A hot runner mould is a much simpler solution that saves both material and time.

The runner mould has several parts. The first part is called the sprue. The sprue part is the area in the mould that forms the main runner. The runner itself is attached to the mould by a series of gates 2-6. The first gate is situated at each corner of the rectangle, while the other three are located at the intersection of the diagonals. The second gate is located centrally. A runner mould usually has an inlet or exit 8 located above it. The inlet connects with the primary runners 9 and 10 at junction 11. The primary runners are co-axial tubes with the same cross-section. The runner mould is designed to hold the moulded product in place.

A two-plate runner mould has two to three plates. One plate has a clutch that keeps the runner in place. The other two plates are attached to the mould base. In the two-plate mould, plastic is injected into the runner system and goes to the parts inside the cavity. The parts are then joined together by an ejection system.
